Meet Dr. Steven Chang

Steven Chang, M.D. is a board-certified and fellowship trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and has run the Spine Institute in Lake Worth, FL since 2010.

Dr. Chang graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island with his Bachelor of Science in 1990. He received his medical degree from Brown University in 1996. He received extensive training in his research fellowship in Bone Research Brand, NIDR at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland from 1992 to 1994.

Dr. Chang received his clinical training as a resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois from 1996 until 2001. He also completed extensive fellowship training in spine surgery at the University Hospital Spine Institute at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio under Dr. Henry Bohlman.

Prior to the Spine Institute, Dr. Chang was Assistant Professor in the Chief of Spine Service Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis from 2002 to 2004. He was also an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon for Orthopaedic Center of Palm Beach County in Lake Worth, FL from 2004 to 2007 and Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon with National Orthopaedics (also located in Lake Worth) from 2007 to 2010 before he began his own practice.

Dr. Chang is well known for his expertise in the field of orthopaedic surgery and has helped many patients regain their quality of life through his careful and precise diagnoses and techniques.

Outside the office, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
